- Notes:
- This cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Fairhaven MA. Documents show that 40 to 50 people were buried here including an Indian girl and John Cooke the last surviving male Pilgrim. The tombstones are missing. There is a large memorial to John Cooke placed at his neglected gravesite by the Fairhaven Improvement Association in the late 1800's. There is also the Joshua Slocum monument although he wasn't buried there. The Town of Fairhaven does not have a sign up at this cemetery and should. It was originally called Burial Hill or Oxford Burial Hill as that section of Fairhaven.
