In 1936, E.B. Swallum assumed ownership of Macon Memorial Park, which his business acquaintance had founded in 1934. With the goal of creating a serene, park-like environment, E.B. owned and operated the cemetery until his death in March 1979.
The cemetery had multiple owners in the years that followed. Snow’s Funerals and Cremations at Macon Memorial Park was built on the cemetery grounds in 1998.
