Upton Cemetery is located in Baldwin, FL, on US 90. The cemetery is on the north side of the road, about 500 feet from the highway. It started as the burying ground of the Benjamin Upton family. The part of the cemetery west of the drainage ditch that runs through the cemetery is for African Americans—the earliest burial in 1859 & last burial in 1903.
The Upton Family Cemetery is now in the middle of the Piney Grove Cemetery, which the Coleman family donated to the African American people of Baldwin many years ago.
