- Notes:
Barfield Cemetery, Jackson County, Florida At one time in the early & middle part of the 1900s, there was a nice-sized cemetery on Hwy 90, west, about 3 miles from the town of Cottondale. It has long since been turned under; it was on the Tharp homestead. The Jackie Johnson family was plowing the fields when Mr. Johnson's plow hit something. He climbed off his tractor to investigate and found two headstones.
